Hammam Network
Hammam Network is a digital platform aimed at supporting queer folks with migration background during their first years in Belgium. The platform has accessible resources and engaging information on Belgium’s bureaucracy, social landscape, legal help, residency permits options, financial opportunities, healthcare and community networks.
We, the creators, dreamed of bringing a dynamic visual storytelling format to life to emulate solidarity within the community. Inspired by the role of public bathrooms as communal spaces for casual connection and emotional exchange, this platform merges art, activism, and information.
The Hammam (bathroom) features interactive visuals through writings, drawings, posters, and stickers that open pop-ups with additional information, resources, links, or specially animated informative videos of fictional scenes in the bathroom.
PS. For the current stage only the Cohabitation Légale under How to Stay in Belgium is clickable with informative video pop-up. For later stages the other questions/texts on the walls will be active with the possibility of adding more questions/posters/topics.
Have fun playing and don’t forget to share it !
